ODZALA
A Sound Journey into the Rainforest
The African National Park "Odzala" is one of the world's most biodiverse rainforests. Experience Odzala's nocturnal soundscape in breathtaking 360° sound under the African starry sky in the planetarium dome. Listen to nature's unparalleled sound orchestra: countless shimmering chirping insects, a frog concert, the deep rumble of a nearby elephant herd, the diverse songs of birds at dawn. The countless timbres, rhythms, and melodies of untouched nature – recorded in various locations deep within the rainforest – surround us so realistically, as if we were truly there.

“The audio experience designed by Mr. Kamp, especially in conjunction with the starry sky, is a fascinating experience that literally transports you to another place.”
Dr. Monika Staesche, Deputy Director, Stiftung Planetarium Berlin

This immersive, spatial sound experience is the essence of over 100 hours of multi-channel audio that David Kamp recorded over several weeks in various locations in the Odzala rainforest in Congo.
Odzala had its sold-out premiere and regular showings at the Zeiss Großplanetarium Berlin, Germany's largest planetarium. Now the journey continues to other planetariums!
Running time 45 minutes, no spoken language, suitable for all age groups, introductory speaker text available. Available in all relevant immersive audio formats (channel or object-based).
